Major tears were shed as the fifth season of ‘RHONJ’ somberly came to a close. It was the last reunion filmed before Teresa and Joe Giudice know if they’re going to jail for federal charges. We couldn’t believe what the other castmates said about their situation! What did you think of the second part of the reunion, HollywoodLifers?
Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice are facing jail for 39 counts of fraud — but that doesn’t mean the rest of the ‘RHONJ’ kept quiet about what they thought! The final reunion episode revealed what Joe really thinks about Joe Gorga — and who said Teresa is the “strongest woman I know!” Read on for more juicy details!
Joe Giudice Calls Joe Gorga & Melissa Gorga ‘Jackasses’
Part Two of the reunion opened with Andy Cohen bringing up hurt feelings between the Giudices and the Gorgas about their extreme fighting this season. He brought up instances where both families called each other names, such as Joe Giudice calling Melissa Gorga “Horsey Face.”
Joe Gorga revealed that he thought Teresa was more behind the fighting than her husband. He noted that he thinks Teresa is more competitive between families, while Joe likes to sweep things under the rug and have peace in his family.
Joe Giudice took that as a major insult against his wife. “We don’t have that kind of time, to dig things up. You both look like jackasses, bringing the same stuff up again.”
Joe was referring to the Gorgas bringing up the cheating rumors that were spread about them this season many times by Teresa. But still — what a major diss from Joe!
Joe Gorga retorted, “We look like people defending themselves constantly. I’m going to address the situation so [Teresa] understands that she did something wrong.”
He goes on to say how Teresa axed him out of her life for two years, and then when he and Melissa joined the show, Teresa acted differently. Joe claimed that when the cameras were rolling, his sister was more interested in acting fake to him than discussing their problems.
“Maybe I got on the show to get close to my sister,” Joe hinted. Well, if that’s the truth — he got a little closer to Teresa this season, and then some!
Even though the families are both clearly still working out their issues, there’s a much bigger problem at hand. Joe and Teresa are facing 39 counts of financial fraud, and could go to jail for 50 years, if charged. What did the cast have to say about the sad situation?
Jacqueline Laurita: Teresa Giudice Is The ‘Strongest Woman I Know’
During the cast’s therapeutic trip to Arizona, Joe admitted he was worried about his legal issues.
“Never kick a person when they’re down,” said Caroline Manzo, about Joe’s confession. “He’s scared and doesn’t want to leave his kids.”
Andy then asked Caroline if Teresa was the cause of their legal problems, since she loved lavish things and spending tons of money.
“All I know is it’s 39 counts. This has nothing to do with legal issues at hand,” she responded. “[Joe] is a man making his wife happy. I think it’s awful and I don’t like to talk about it.”
And even though he still disagrees with his sister, Joe was openly horrified about her possibly going to jail. “It’s depressing. I’m depressed. It’s hard to talk about it. I don’t wanna touch on the subject. It’s hard to swallow.” Joe had tears in his eyes as he said this, and also admitted that he doesn’t know what to say to Joe Gorga. He’s spoken to Teresa, but not his brother-in-law. Teresa said Joe knows that he’s there for him, though.
Kathy Wakile found their troubles “heartbreaking.”
Melissa even started crying when she opened up about it. “It’s a scary thing. You never want to see your family go through something like this. It put us in a depression. I’m sad for the girls.”
Teresa was stone-faced as she revealed how she’s coping with the ominous legal proceedings. “It’s hard for us to express our feelings. We were raised as Italians to be stern parents. You think of the worst with four little girls. I cry myself to sleep. I don’t know why this is happening to us. If I fall apart, my family will fall apart. I’m like every other mom out there. I just want to keep going. I think positive and stay strong for my daughters. We’ve gotten tons of support. It’s in god’s hands.”
Jacqueline Laurita showed true support for her friend, speaking up. “It’s scary. [Teresa] is the strongest woman I know. She’ll have the support she needs. I’m here for her. She knows where to go.”
Teresa had everyone in tears, wishing her well for what’s to come with potential jail time — and then completely reversed the situation!
She brought up feeling hurt about Caroline calling her superficial when the cast was still filming episodes, and Caroline completely exploded! She couldn’t believe after everything she and Teresa went through this season, that Teresa would bring something so petty up at the very end of the reunion.
Caroline stated, “I don’t know if we can move forward, after everything I’ve done for you and your family.” She said that Teresa is “someone she used to know,” and was very upset that Teresa would bring this up after everything that’s happened.
Andy wished for peace in New Jersey — but with a reunion that ended with a nasty exchange and possible charges for 39 counts of fraud — we’ll have to wait and see what happens!
What a dark and grim ending to Season Five!
