Plus, Peter Pan drops a major truth bomb on Henry, revealing his new destiny. Ba-boom.
When Emma (Jennifer Morrison) said that “every kid in the world knows Tinker Bell,” she wasn’t wrong, but it turns out no one knows her quite like Regina (Lana Parrilla). On the Oct. 13 episode of Once Upon A Time, we learned that Tinker Bell (Rose McIver) was Regina’s BFF during her early days as queen, and like everyone in Regina’s life, the BFFs eventually had a falling out of epic proportions.
The fallout came when Tink stole some pixie dust for Regina, hoping it would lead to some happiness for the bitter Betty. It was supposed to lead her to her true love, “the man with the lion tattoo,” but Regina backed out at the last minute. So the Blue Fairy got super-pissed at “Green” for stealing the dust, and as punishment, she clipped her wings.
Regina and her fairy frenemy eventually buried the hatchet in present-day Neverland, which led to the craziest reveal of all: The “man with the lion tattoo” turned out to be freakin’ Robin Hood (Sean Maguire)! Who’da thunk?!
Henry’s Destiny Revealed
Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) was busy dropping some serious knowledge on Henry (Jared Gilmore). According to Pan, Henry is the real savior, destined to save magic for all worlds.
So does that mean Pan is actually… good? I don’t want to admit this, for fear of being sent back to kindergarden, but I think this show might be over my head.
Neal Takes Flight
Over in the Enchanted Forest, Neal (Michael Raymond-James) finally figured out a way to get to Neverland — but it took some convincing to get Robin Hood on board, as Neal’s plan required Robin’s son to summon Peter Pan’s shadow.
Once Neal and Shadow Pan had flown off towards Neverland, Hood offered Mulan (Jamie Chung) a place in his “band of merry men.” Mulan needed to check with Aurora first, and when she found out that the princess was pregnant with Phillip’s child, she tearfully decided to join Robin’s band. Possibly as the drummer.
Odds & Ends
>> Did this episode feature the first appearance by Charming’s nipple? Seems strange we wouldn’t see it until three seasons in, but then again, this is a mysterious show.
>> How much did you love when Regina referred to Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) as Emma’s boyfriend? (“My boyfriend? Hook?” Yes, Emma. We all see what’s happening.)
>> Mulan was sad to hear about Aurora (Sara Bolger) and Phillip’s baby. But was she sad she wouldn’t get to be with Phillip… or his bride? #TeamMulora
