Besides blood relatives, there is no family tighter-knit than a football team. So when Adrian’s son died on Oct. 11 after being brutally beaten, his Vikings teammates rushed to Twitter to let him know that they are there for him.
Because they put their bodies on the line for each other every Sunday, a football team may be more like a real family than any other sports team. And Adrian Peterson needs his 52-man family more than ever now — his two-year-old son passed away on Oct. 11 after being horrifically beaten, allegedly by the child’s mother’s boyfriend.

Adrian Peterson’s Son Beated & Killed
Adrian’s son, just two years old, was rushed to the hospital on Oct. 9 after sustaining serious head injuries. He was allegedly attacked by Joseph Patterson, who was dating the boy’s mother. After being on life support since Oct. 10, the family decided to take the child off of it on the 11th, and he died shortly after.
Joseph Patterson has been charged with aggravated battery of an infant and aggravated assault, and now that Adrian’s son has died, authorities say that additional charges will be added to reflect that it is now a homicide case.
No words can explain what Adrian and his family are going through right now, but at least he has his teammates and football to lean on.
