The Jonas Brothers’ tour cancellation shocked many — but there was tension between the brothers before the shocking Oct. 9 announcement, a report says. Do you believe this, HollywoodLifers?
Jonas Brothers: Tension Before Tour Cancellation?
The brothers gave a great performance at We Day Minnesota on Oct. 8, one day before their tour cancellation announcement — but reportedly weren’t too friendly with each other backstage!
“You could tell something was not right between them. They didn’t have the same energy they normally have,” a source told E! News.
Nick, 21, and Kevin, 25, allegedly ate separately that night from Joe and their father, Paul Kevin Jonas Jr. We wonder what was discussed within the two groups!
“They are brothers and that will never change. This isn’t about personal issues,” another source says. “The guys recorded a lot of music and there was broad disagreement within the group about what direction to take with the music.”
Joe, 24, also revealed some possibly ominous feelings on the direction of the band.
“There are days that are tough. You try to relive what what we used to be, but you have to remind yourself that it’s a different music. It’s a different vibe. We are our own bosses these days and have to build our own relationships and businesses and continue to craft our sound, and not just be a band that plays to a certain market,” he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Oct. 6.
Sounds like the brother’s personalities, tastes and mindsets have shifted over the years, which is totally normal.
“We’re wanting to make music that at the end of the day we can sit back and be excited about,” Joe also stated.
Yikes — looks like nobody in the band was excited for the music they were going to perform on tour — so much, in fact, that they felt the need to cancel it with such short notice!
We hope they can resolve their differences soon, or else their fans will be so sad!
Jonas Brothers: Why Their Tour Got Canceled
The band blindsided their fans by canceling their tour just two days before it was supposed to kick off in Philadelphia.
Their spokesperson, Jesse Derris, confirmed to HollywoodLife.com that the rumor is true. Wow!
“They just canceled the tour, after a successful summer tour,” a source close to the band told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They had to resolve their issues about the music and direction of the band. It’s not a personal fight, it’s about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking.”
Fans can get a refund at their point of purchase.
