Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift appear to be in an ongoing feud, and it seems Taylor had something to say after reading Miley’s backhanded diss in to her in her Rolling Stone interview! But did Taylor really slam Miley at the Soho House in Toronto? Read on for more details.
Taylor was reportedly overheard chatting about Miley’s risqué performance at the Soho House in Toronto, calling it “grotesque” and “disgusting,” according to Life & Style.
However, Taylor’s rep, who was at the event, says the mag’s report is “obviously made up.”
“The party at the Soho House was very crowded and loud, and Taylor was seated at a private booth,” she says. “You had to practically shout at somebody for them to even hear what you were saying in that room, so the very idea that anybody would have “overheard” anything at that party is far-fetched, at best.”
Some have speculated that the two stars have issues after Miley came out with “23” after Taylor’s “22,” but Miley didn’t even write “23” — it was a hit by Mike WiLL Made It, that just featured her.
Then, when Miley’s topless cover of Rolling Stone hit stands, she dissed her again. When asked about her barely there outfit at the VMAs, she threw shade in Taylor’s direction.
“I thought that’s what the VMAs were all about!” she told the mag. “It’s not the Grammys or the Oscars. You’re not supposed to show up in a gown, Vanna White-style. It’s supposed to be fun!”
Even the magazine called out the fact that Taylor was wearing a dress we could absolutely see Vanna in — a stunning navy Herver Leger gown.
And while, yes it was very pretty — on this one, Miley is right that the VMAs are all about taking risks.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should Taylor and Miley make up?
