Little Dekkar Edward was born in Los Angeles, CA on Sept. 30 at around noon. Following the arrival of their son, proud dad Mark told People:

We are overjoyed with the new addition to our family. We are madly in love with our little boy. He is healthy and just perfect — all we could ask for.

Catriona and Mark, 39, married in July 2012.

Mark has two other children: daughter Ava, 7, and son Charles, 9, with his ex-wife Lisa Ann Russell.

Mark’s other kids were thrilled to welcome another sibling into the mix. “We’ve always wanted a big family,” Mark told in a statement following Catriona’s pregnancy announcement in March. “The kids are looking forward to a little sibling, and are asking a lot of funny questions right now.”

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Names Baby Dekkar Edward

Mark realizes that his newborn’s name isn’t the most standard, but he and Catriona picked it out for it’s uniqueness.

“It is not traditional and it is not too quirky. It is different, but it’s not something odd,” Mark told People about the name in early September.

What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Do you like the name Dekker Edward?
