The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are all set to move into their new digs with baby George, and moving day just can’t come soon enough for the young family! Their apartment at Kensington Palace is newly renovated and they’re already adding their signature touches to the decor.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will be moving into their newly remodeled apartment at Kensington Palace with their 2-month-old son Prince George very soon. In fact, their big move is reportedly coming within a matter of days. How exciting!
Kate Middleton & Prince William Moving Into Kensington Palace Soon
Will and Kate have been planning their move into the palace since before their son George was born, but as moving day approaches, it gets more and more exciting! “They can’t wait,” a friend told The Express. “They are so looking forward to getting the place how they want it and being settled.”
The couple has been on the go for months since little George’s arrival, so finally settling into their permanent residence will undoubtedly really feel like returning home. Since George’s July 22 birth, the couple has journeyed from London to Kate’s family home in Bucklebury, to the couple’s Anglesey, Wales residence, to the royal family’s vacation spot at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Kate Middleton & Prince William Decorate The Palace
A lot of the couple’s travels and other wordly inspirations will even make up the decor of the family’s new apartment.
In addition to pulling antique heirlooms from their own royal family, Kate and Will “have also drawn inspiration from a visit they made two years ago to Copenhagen when they lunched with Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and his Australian wife Princess Mary,” reports The Express.
“Mary showed them around their apartment at the Amelienborg Palace and they loved the way they had combined their collection of modern art with antique furniture,” a Palace insider told The Express. “Kate was truly inspired and wants to use some similar ideas in some of the rooms at Kensington Palace.”
We’re sure their furnishings will be a great mix of tradition and modern flair — just like the young couple!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you excited that Will and Kate will finally be moving into the palace with the baby?
