Kate Middleton and Prince William shared their first family vacation with their 2-month-old son Prince George at the Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Prince William & Kate Middleton Vacation In Scotland With Prince George
Kate and Will’s stay at Balmoral from Sept. 15 to 23 was filled with fun outdoor activities — like hiking through the beautiful woods and playing golf! Mom and baby shared relaxing time playing in the garden. George even got to meet his great-grandpa Prince Philip for the first time!
The trip was “a wonderful change of scene” for Will and Kate, an insider told Us Weekly. “More space and time with the family, which the love.”
The couple and their son “set up camp at Craigowan Lodge, a seven-bedroom stone house a mile from the queen’s castle,” reports Us Weekly.
The Queen reportedly has an early morning bagpipe wake-up call that the young family was hoping to avoid — and keep their wailing young newborn from waking up the rest of the family at odd hours! The entire family would meet up at dinner time for informal barbecues featuring Prince Philip’s grill selections!

The royal family hosted VIP guests while they vacationed in Scotland, including New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, and his 18-year-old son, Max, and 20-year-old daughter, Stephanie.
“It was a truly remarkable and extraordinary experience,” Mr. Key told The New Zealand Herald. They were extremely generous hosts and we had a fantastic weekend. We were invited in as guests in their private family time.”
The family even got to meet little George! Max called George a “very bonny baby.” So adorable!
