The third episode of ‘Glee’ will be fully dedicated to the loss of Cory Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson. A new report reveals one of the emotional songs the cast will be singing in his memory.
‘Glee’ Tribute Episode Song Revealed
The cast of the show — which includes returners from season one, will sing “Seasons of Love,” from the Broadway show, Rent, according to OK! Magazine.
As for the rest of the episode, E! has reported that Rachel (Lea Michele) won’t appear until the final act, for a “limited but incredibly powerful” song. Additionally, Santana (Naya Rivera) will also play a memorable part in the emotional episode.
Tribute Episode To Be ‘A Celebration Of Cory’s Life’
While we’ll have the tissues ready, we know the episode will be more of a celebration, according to a source.
“The [episode] is more of a celebration of Cory’s life, and the difference he made to us and the fans of the show,” a source exclusively told HollywoodLife.com. “As much as it will be [part of the Glee season], it also feels like a stand-alone episode.”
Harry Shum Jr., who portrays Mike Chang on the show, told HollywoodLife.com that the way the episode was written was incredibly beautiful.
“I think the writers put a beautiful script together to pay tribute and also have the essence of what Glee really is,” Harry said. “Not taking away what Glee was or is — I think that’s the most beautiful thing that they were able to put together, able to pay tribute while also keeping the aspect of what Glee is and what made it so special.”
Are you happy about “Seasons of Love” being the song dedicated to Cory?
