Browse all nine pics from the ‘Vampire Diaries’ premiere & share your excitement for season five!
The fifth season premiere of The Vampire Diaries airs Oct. 3 — that’s just 23 days away for those of you keeping score at home — and The CW has finally rolled out the first official stills from the highly anticipated episode. Along with our first real look at Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) in college, we also get to see how some of Mystic Falls’ finest have fared over the summer.
What’s Eating Elena Gilbert?
Of all the images included in this new set, the one that has me really scratching my head is the solo shot of a less-than-happy Elena. What could she be so bummed about? The distance between herself and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), perhaps? Or maybe she’s just regretting that pink streak in her hair, wishing she could wash it out. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
(At least Elena takes a brief break from her sorrow to party with Caroline!)
Considering the guy was recently deceased, I’m thrilled with the amount of Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) photos from the season premiere. Not only do we get a nice solo shot, and one of Jeremy chatting with his college-bound sister, but we also have some pretty cute pictures of Jeremy with Bonnie. As Kat Graham recently told HollywoodLife.com, Bonnie and Jeremy’s relationship will definitely be one to watch in season five:
It’s great how they’ve evolved the friendship, more so, with Bonnie and Jeremy. I really like where they’re going with it, though I don’t completely know where that is, and I kind of like it that way. It’s cool that, because of the situation with her being on the other side, where the only person she can communicate with is Jeremy, it forces an even more intimate relationship with him. There’s even more of a unity and support.
Big Ghost On Campus
It looks like Bonnie will also be making her way to Whitmore College in the fall, though we probably shouldn’t expect to see her joining her BFFs in a game of flip cup. Along with the pictures of Elena and Caroline swagging around campus, there’s one shot of all three girls together — but there’s a very good reason why Bonnie’s the only one not carrying a laundry basket. I mean, do ghosts really need to change their clothes?
