Countless contestants thought they could dance, but in the end, only two were worthy of being named America’s favorite dancers. The 10th season of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance came to a close Sept. 10, pitting the final four dancers — Amy Yakima, Jasmine Harper, Fik-Shun and Aaron Turner — against each other one last time. So who won the whole shebang?
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
And the winners are… Amy and Fik-Shun!
Jasmine and Aaron gave it a valiant effort all season, but unfortunately, they were just no match for Amy and Fik-Shun’s skill and likability.
Though the show’s season finale was briefly interrupted by President Obama‘s speech about the crisis in Syria — as well it should have been — the madness quickly resumed, culminating in the final announcement.
As if the reveal of the winners wasn’t enough for SYTYCD fans, the season finale also packed one more surprise announcement: Fox’s hit competition series has been renewed for an 11th season! Executive producer/judge Nigel Lythgoe got to make the special declaration, himself.
That means we can look forward to (at least) one more year of incredible dances, unforgettable personalities, and as we all experienced tonight, gut-wrenching eliminations. It’s hard to believe another season of SYTYCD has come again, but at least it was epic!
We’re already counting down the days until season 11 begins next summer on Fox.
HollywoodLifers, do you think the right dancers won this season? Cast your vote, then drop a comment with your thoughts on tonight’s results!
