The major supermodel surprised everyone as she sashayed down DVF’s runway, closing the Spring 2014 show, while a slew of stylish stars sat in the front row of the show!
Diane von Furstenberg‘s Sunday show always feels like a party, and the Spring 2014 collection was no exception. Held at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 8, the star-studded front row included everyone from Allison Williams to Jessica Alba, Andy Cohen, and Bella Thorne — to name a few. The show began with Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” while major models Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Karen Elson, and Karlie Kloss strutted their stuff — but nothing could compare to the surprise at the end of the show, when Naomi Campbell herself closed the show. She looked amazing!
Diane Von Furstenberg Spring 2014 Collection:
The Spring 2014 collection, entitled Oasis, was so signature Diane — and it was also one of my personal favorites from the designer! Colorful creations, bold prints, an African-inspired landscape and more safari references came down the runway. As for the silhouettes, we saw chic separates like crop tops paired with skirts and trousers. A flowing, long-sleeved dress with slits on each side and a cutout at the midriff was one of my favorite frocks of the collection — and I think it would be perfect for the red carpet, especially on the fashion-forward Girls star Allison Williams. Jessica, who was in the front row, is a major fan of the designer — and we think she would look great in so many of the looks we saw come down the runway.
After Naomi wowed the crowd when she strutted down the runway in a golden mini, Diane herself came out to take her final bow, showing off a dress with the same print that we saw in the Spring 2014 collection. No one ever looks like they’re having as much fun as Diane, and we love the way her clothing exudes the same effortlessly cool, fun vibe that the designer herself embodies. It’s glamorous and fun — and it’s signature Diane!
