Plus, Eric makes a strategic move to bring himself up to Bill’s level. The rivalry continues!
For the past six years, we’ve watched Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) string along every supernatural suitor in Bon Temps, giving nary a f*** how her flighty indecisiveness might make them feel. But on the Aug. 4 episode of True Blood, our fickle fairy friend was given an ultimatum — one that will force her to finally choose a guy and stick to him. For real this time.
In a nutshell, if Sookie wants Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) to help Bill (Stephen Moyer) save all of the imprisoned vampires, she’ll have to give herself over to him. And I’m not just talking about more glowing fairy graveyard sex. She’ll need to let him put a ring on it, which she eventually decided was worth the sacrifice. Now, there was just one small problem…
Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) beat her to him! With a little help from Adilyn’s blood, Eric crossed over to Sookie’s fairy-sex playground and gobbled up a ton of Warlow’s red goodness. (See you in the daylight, Mr. Northman!)
Side note: Was anybody else annoyed by Sookie during her big scene with Sam (Sam Trammell) this week? If she’s ‘always’ had feelings for him, why did she wait until now to tell him? I’m just glad Sam turned her down; he’s been pushed around enough this season.
Don’t Drink The Tru Blood
The imprisoned vampires thought that avoiding the contaminated Tru Blood would keep them safe, but unfortunately, it singled them out as targets for the LAVDF. In fact, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) appears to be the only good guy safe for now, as he’s still under the watchful/obsessive eye of Violet. So assured him they’d hump like vamp-bunnies someday, so once again, Jason is just having a lot of sex this season.
Meanwhile, just as Anna Camp foretold, Anna reached new levels of insanity this week. Perhaps her finest act was bludgeoning the female Tru Blood distributor to death, then impaling her brain with her own stiletto. Anna was worth every bit of the “One To Watch” honor she was given at the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards; I couldn’t take my eyes off her this week.
The episode ended with Bill’s vision coming true — all of our fanged favorites gathered together in a circular room, where they’ll presumably meet the sun.
Prayer circle, please?
Knocked Up & Knocked Out
I normally skip over the werewolf/shifter nonsense because, as I just said, it’s usually nonsense — but this week, things happened! Alcide (Joe Manganiello) beat the s**t out of Rikki after she challenged him as packmaster, then decided to bounce from the pack entirely. He forked Big-Hair and Big-Hair’s mom over to Sam, before barking out a pretty major shocker: Big-Hair is pregnant with Baby Sam!
Can you believe Little Denise from Full House is carrying a shifter bun in her oven? Have mercy!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of this week’s episode? Any new predictions? Drop a comment with your review, and what you’d like to see on the final two episodes.
