Sadly, Lea Michele will never know what her future with Cory Monteith would have been like because her Glee co-star and boyfriend was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13. However, before his death, Lea and Cory’s future seemed promising. Lea reportedly told friends that Cory was planning a surprise for her 27th birthday.
“[Lea] didn’t know what [Cory’s surprise was],” a source tells Us Weekly. “But she thought it could be a party and possibly a trip somewhere.”
Furthermore, Lea, 26, and Cory, 31, reportedly had long-term plans for the future.
“Lea and Cory were planning on moving in together after he got back from Vancouver,” a source tells the magazine. They “weren’t talking engagement or marriage yet, but it was heading that way. The first step was [that] Cory was going to move in [to Michele’s L.A. home] completely. He was already there all the time.”
“They were 100 percent happy and together and in love at the time of his death,” the source added.
Lea’s love for Cory is evident in her last interview prior to the actor’s death.
Lea told Marie Claire Mexico’s August 2013 issue that Cory made her life so incredible.
“It is important to have someone that supports you and encourage you, someone that makes you feel that you are unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him,” Lea said, when the interview was conducted on June 7.
Do YOU think Cory was going to propose, HollywoodLifers?
