On July 16 Chris Brown tweeted, “Give back because it’s in your heart. Not for a pat on the back.” Well, the “Fine China” singer is showing what’s truly in his heart! Through his Symphonic Love Foundation, the 24-year-old singer is making a generous donation to the nonprofit Courage For Kids to assist in their continued work with young children in need.
Chris’ donation will support Courage For Kids’ GIVE BACK-pack Initiative, which provides Kindergarten students with backpacks filled with school supplies to take with them on their first day of school.
“We are very pleased and grateful for Chris Brown’s generosity,” says Courage for Kids board member Wendy Pittman. “This is a wonderful gift, and we celebrate it as a recognition of the long-term alignment and friendship between Chris Brown and Courage for Kids.”
Good for you, Chris! It’s always good to see Breezy giving back — especially to children in need.
The X artist has more good deeds on his to-do list. We told you Chris recently threw the “WE US: Walk Everywhere in Unity’s Shoes” event at Crenshaw Senior High School in Los Angeles, where he initiated a campaign to provide kids with Reebok shoes. He’s really on a roll!
Chris will be back in Los Angeles on July 20, teaming up once again with WE US project.
The organization will be providing Reebok Classics to 1,000 youths in an effort to remind young people that whenever and wherever we walk, we are a united community.
Chris is no stranger to the charity world. For the past four years, he has been involved with the Jenesse Center in LA. Through his own charity, the Symphonic Love Foundation, he awarded 11 scholarships to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in 2012.
Chris is truly an inspirational role model — keep up the great work, Breezy!
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you impressed by Chris and his dedication to charity?
