Being grounded on a plane in 110 degrees of heat with no water would turn most people crazy, but not these passengers! Instead, they chose to sing R Kelly’s ‘I Believe I Can Fly’. Watch the video here!
Over one hundred people were stranded in a grounded plane on June 9 and they decided to make light of their Hunger Games style situation by breaking into song! Despite having no air conditioning, no water and several passengers passing out, the passengers did not storm the plane — instead they sang “I Believe I Can I Fly”!
Passengers Sing ‘I Believe I Can Fly’
Passengers aboard an Allegiant Air flight were supposed to fly from Las Vegas to Phoenix, but instead they sat for four hours on the runway with no air conditioning in 110F heat.
And instead of complaining, they sang the famous R Kelly song in total irony because they certainly were not going anywhere! Passengers giggled but it was not all fun and games, as several travelers reported that a woman passed out in the aisle while two others had medical problems.
Passenger Speaks About The Flight
Passenger Francine Gutierrez told the Daily Mail: “One of the passengers started getting a bloody nose from the heat so she rushed to the bathroom. Followed by her was another passenger that was starting to vomit. A third passenger passed out in the middle of the aisle. Everyone was kind of frantic.”
Communication director Byran Davis told the Daily Mail that each passenger received complementary drinks and a $100 dollar voucher. Thank goodness for that!
