While we’ve seen Paris Jackson many, many times over the course of her childhood, Michael Jackson’s daughter first introduced herself to the world at her father’s funeral when she gave a heartfelt speech in June 2009. It was brave, courageous and heartbreaking. Now, Paris, 16, is a young woman trying to live a “normal” life, but because she has “a lot going on,” it’s proven to be difficult and she reportedly attempted suicide.
Sadly, Paris’ biological mother Debbie Rowe revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Paris tried to commit suicide. Debbie said that Paris had “a lot going on [lately].” She’s currently being treated in a Los Angeles hospital, where she was rushed at approximately 2 a.m. on June 5.
Paris was taken out of her home on a stretcher, according to TMZ. According to the report, the 911 call came in at 1:27 a.m. and the caller told the dispatcher that Paris had cut her wrists.
Paris is “still emotionally devastated from Michael Jackson’s death and the high amount of dysfunction in the family,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Michael died suddenly in 2009, and the family has gone through a difficult time since. Paris recently moved out of the home she shared with her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and now lives with her birth mother.
This is so incredibly sad. We can imagine Michael Jackson would be heartbroken to hear this news. Our thoughts are with Paris and her family at this difficult time.
