January plays a sassy prostitute, who is out for revenge, in a new Western, ‘Sweetwater,’ and she shockingly goes topless for one scene. Do you think it’s gratuitous?
Mad Men star January Jones recently wrapped filming Sweetwater, where she posed topless for a fight scene. While January certainly looks fantastic and the plot of the film sounds intriguing — a widow who is out for blood — we wonder if it was necessary for January to go topless.
January Jones Topless In ‘Sweetwater’ — ‘Mad Men’ Star Strips Down
We are so used to seeing January, 35, dressed up as 50’s housewife Betty Draper in Mad Men, but in her new film Sweetwater she plays a gun slinging hooker who is attempting to avenge her husband’s death, reports Mail Online.
Sounds like a good Western!
For her role as Sarah, January is seen interrupted while washing at the watering hole, and she turns her gun on some poor unsuspecting horseman. January looks fantastic with her pale skin and curly red hair, but was her topless scene gratuitous?
Did January Jones Need To Go Topless?
Many actresses go topless for film roles, such as Halle Berry in Swordfish and Kate Winslet in Titanic, but are all topless scenes really necessary?
Yes, January is playing a prostitute, but the film would probably be just as good if she was wearing a shirt.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do YOU think January needs to be topless for the film? Or would the movie be just as good without this scene? Weigh in below!
