Michael Welch: I Just Want Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart ‘To Be Happy’
Michael was able to get close to Kristen and Rob during filming — and especially K-Stew, from playing her human romantic interest. The actor spoke about the couple and couldn’t seem to decide whether or not he thinks they should stay together or break up for good. “I developed relationships with them individually before they were together and kind of got to know them over the years, and I just want them to be happy,” Michael told Wet Paint.
Michael continued, bringing up Rob and K-Stew’s somewhat rocky past. He seemed to suggest that if they continue to fight with each other, then staying together might not be worth it. “I wish them the best,” the actor said. “It seems like it’s been kind of an on again off again kind of thing over the years, and I just want them to be happy people because I think they deserve it.”
“I don’t know. I just wish them the best,” he concluded, clearly torn.

Michael’s comments definitely shine a light on the stickiness of Rob and Kristen’s situation. On one hand, they love each other deeply and passionately. But at the same time, they’re beginning to build a history of having big fights. At what point should they decide that it’s just too much work and focus on being happy apart instead?
