The royal couple continues to break tradition, especially when it comes to their bundle of joy due this summer. Will is expected witness the birth of his little boy or girl — a first for the royal family!
Kate Middleton and Prince William have bucked royal tradition all throughout their marriage and pregnancy, and the happy couple’s birth plans have proved once again they want to forge their own parenting path.
Royal Baby’s Birth — Prince William Will Be Present
A royal insider tells NOW magazine that unlike the royal baby deliveries of years past, the royal dad won’t be waiting patiently at Kensington Palace.
“I’m sure he’ll be there,” the source said.
“It’s become more common recently with the royal family,” the insider added. “Peter Phillips, for instance, was at the birth of his daughters Savannah and Isla.”
Kate Middleton & Prince William Breaking Royal Tradition Baby
Kate and William, who are expecting their first child on July 13, have already proved their parenting styles are more modern than traditional. Instead of hiring a full-time nanny to take care of the baby, Kate and Will only want part-time help. The Duchess wants to be as hands-on as possible with their bundle of joy.
Keeping up with the theme of being hands-on, Prince William is expected to leave his job as a Royal Air Force helicopter rescue pilot to help care for his little boy or girl.
We love the idea of William being present and so involved!
