Anne Hathaway, 30, gave everyone in the style world something to squawk about May 6 when she debuted lighter locks on the red carpet of the 2013 Met Ball — and now, she’s taken her dramatic new look one step further. The Oscar winner stepped out May 8 in NYC for the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner at Skylight at Moynihan Station, and she was rocking a fresh pixie cut!
Anne’s hair was certainly more tame on this carpet than it was at the Met Ball, where she wore it rock-and-roll style — to be fair, the theme of the night was “punk” — and we actually think she looks super pretty. Throughout her career, Anne has always remained classy and sensible, which is exactly how we’d describe this new cut!
Anne Hathaway’s Short Hair Has Changed The World
We also have to hand it to Anne for making the best out of a bad situation. When she filmed Les Misérables, she was forced to chop off most of her majestic mane; but rather than settle for looking terrible, like her on-screen persona, she persevered. In fact, she apparently started a short-hair movement!
The Hairdressing Council of Great Britain reportedly teamed up with Universal Pictures to determine the most influential movie haircut of all time, and wouldn’t you know it, Anne’s lopped-off locks came out on top! Believe it or not, Anne’s Les Miz cut even beat the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Jennifer Aniston.
But what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you love Anne’s blonde pixie cut, or do you miss her as a long-haired brunette? Vote now!
