For fashion-lovers like us, there may not be a more exciting night than the Costume Institute Benefit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (or you can call it the Met Gala). The chic event took place on May 6 and featured so many superstars, from Nina Dobrev to Kristen Stewart. The theme for this year’s ball was Punk: Chaos To Couture, but you know the fashion on the carpet definitely skewed towards the latter. Find out what everyone was wearing, see who made our best dressed list, and vote for who you think stole the show below!
Amanda Seyfriend managed to mix couture with serious attitude in a vintage gown by Givenchy. The dress was a gold and black print getup with an incredible open back. Talk about the perfect combo of classy and sexy. “I couldn’t say no to this dress,” Amanda said. And we can’t blame her!
Our favorite Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev was amazing in Monique Lhuillier. Instead of staying traditional with a gown Nina rocked an outfit of tight black pants matched seamlessly with a black lace and leather bustier top. Her outfit screamed sexy and definitely made all the punks proud.
Jessica Alba meanwhile was stunning in an elegant leather (yes, leather!) dress by Tory Burch. The leather getup showed the right amount of skin with a cutout front and actually toughened up Jessica’s natural beauty, which was exciting to see.
There were so many amazing celebs out there on May 6 (we can talk about Miley Cyrus’ semi-see-through gown later). Click through the best dressed gallery and let us know who your favorite celeb was at the Met Ball, HollywoodLifers!
