When Kanye stepped out solo for the 2012 Ball rumors swirled that Kim was personally banned from attending by Anna Wintour — but a new report claims that no one will be able to keep her from attending this year! In fact, Kanye’s pregnant baby mama intends to be right by his side on the red carpet for this year’s grand Gala on May 6.

Kim Kardashian is not one to shy away from the spotlight, which is why it seemed so odd when Kanye West attended the 2012 Met Ball without his reality star girlfriend by his side. While Kim was busy promoting the latest Kardashian Kollection, rumors swirled that the real reason she wasn’t there was because Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour personally banned the star from attending — but even Anna won’t be able to keep Kim from walking the red carpet at the 2013 Met Ball! According to a new report, Kim, (and her seven-month baby bump), will be there with bells on!

“Kanye West and Kim Kardashian will both be attending the Met Gala in NYC on May 6,” a fashion insider tells Life & Style. ” Because Kanye is performing he was allowed to invite her.”

It sounds like Kanye was serious about walking the red carpet with his lady — and considering his BFF Jay Z‘s wife, (Beyonce, of course!), was named honorary chair for this year’s fete we aren’t surprised to hear that Kanye didn’t want to turn up solo. Last year Queen Bey stole the spotlight when she turned up at the last minute mere months after giving birth, wearing a custom-made Givenchy gown. This year the 31-year-old songstress’ name will appear on the invitation for this year’s Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

While all eyes will definitely be on Beyonce, Kim just might steal the spotlight! Not only would it be the first time the reality star has ever attended the high-fashion event, but we can’t wait to see how she’ll dress her growing baby bump! It’s no secret that her maternity style has been quite questionable, but if there’s one list you definitely don’t want to find yourself on it’s ‘Worst Dressed at the Met Ball.’
