It’s battle week on ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ and certain celebrities meant business! Taking on the side by side challenge, the stars had to dance alongside a professional couple, and with a score of 29, Zendaya topped the leader board after getting the first ten’s of the season!
Dancing With the Stars began with a touching tribute to the Boston Marathon massacre on April 15, before a highly energetic group dance where Sean Lowe shook his butt! Jacoby Jones stole the show when he literally did a split jump over Karina Smirnoff‘s head, Andy Dick zip lined onto the dance floor dressed as Zorro, and Zendaya got the first 10’s of the season after her amazing tango!
‘Dancing With The Stars': The Scores
Ingo Rademacher & Kym Johnson: (21/30) Dancing the Cha Cha Cha to “Lady Marmalade,” Ingo kept up alongside the professionals pretty well! The judges seemed to like it, but Bruno Tonioli said “Lady Marmalade got you in a bit of a jam.” Len Goodman said it could have been faster, but overall it was good.
Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff: (26/30) Jacoby can jive! In absolutely one of the best performance’s of the night, Jacoby whipped off his shirt, did the splits, and jumped over Karina’s head! Carrie Ann Inaba expressed her love for Jacoby, and Len said “you light up the place.” Jacoby needs to fix his flat feetedness, but he looks set to jive the whole way to the final.
Victor Ortiz & Lindsay Arnold: (21/30) Pretending to be manequins in a store, Victor and Lindsey came to life and he was pretty good at waltzing. Plus, it was so romantic! Victor was not as good as the professionals, but Bruno said he was “back in the game.” I didn’t like Victor talking about his ex however; it looked like he was trying to win votes.
Aly Raisman & Mark Ballas: (25/30) Aly was top of the leader board last week, and she totally delivered again this week! While not as good as her contemporary performance last week, Len told her “her bottom was the tops!” She dedicated her performance to her hometown of Boston, after the tragedy.
Sean Lowe & Peta Murgatroyd: (24/30) Dancing a quickstep, Sean joked about his diva rumors by lying on a sofa and being feed grapes by Peta! Dancing in a mock dance competition, Sean and Peta kept up with the professionals! Bruno told Sean he had “turned into a swan,” and that his performance was elegant. Sean has stepped it up this week — he has come a long way since the YMCA!
Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough: (27/30) Forget the Masters, there was better golf on DWTS! Looking like Marilyn Monroe, Kellie was so beautiful in her Great Gatsby themed routine, as she danced a super romantic foxtrot. Kellie was just as good as the professionals! Len said it was a “hot trot” and not a foxtrot! He also guaranteed her a place in the final!
D.L Hughley & Cheryl Burke: (18/30) This tango should have been sexy but it was not. I think it is time for D.L. to hang up his dancing shoes.
Zendaya & Val Chmerkovskiy: (29/30) Zendaya is amazing! Dancing an Argentian Tango, she was afraid to be sexy — well she is only 16-years-old! But she KILLED it! Dancing as a sexy murderess, she was simply phenomenal. Bruno said she was just as good as the professional female. The judges raved at her performance, as she really proved that she is miles better than her competitors, and she got the best score of the season so far as she got ten’s from Carrie Ann and Bruno!
Andy Dick & Sharma Burgess: (18/30) Dressed as Zorro, Andy zip lined onto the dance floor, and he did a decent Paso Doble. Carrie Ann said it was the best entrance ever, but his performance was “off.” Andy may be in the bottom two tomorrow…
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Who was the best of the night? Did you love Zendaya’s performance?
