Kevin Ware Released From Hospital After Surgery
Kevin, suffered the nasty fall during the game, and fans and viewers were horrified to see half his leg bone sticking through his skin, but following emergency surgery, Kevin has made one heck of a recovery.
Just one day after his injury, Kevin was pictured walking around the hospital!
On April 2, he tweeted a picture of himself walking out of the hospital with the caption “Back to my brothers I go.” That’s pretty impressive considering just two days ago his bone was sticking out of his leg!
Kevin Ware Will Be Back On The Court In Six Months
Dr. Glashow, the co-chief of sports medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that not only will Kevin play basketball again, but he could be healed in time for next season!
“I think this will take about six months to recover, and he could be back on the court that quick,” Dr. Glashow explains. “The rod may or may not be removed from his leg. They will probably keep it in for a year.”
“It is very possible that he will play at the same level that he has been at. A complete knee surgery would have been much more damaging and long lasting. So, even though he had a very gory injury, it is better in the long run.”
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you impressed that Kevin is such a trooper?
