Porsha Stewart is trying to keep her chin up in the midst of her marriage falling apart with Kordell Stewart. HollywoodLife.com spoke with Porsha’s friend, who says that The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star “isn’t ready” to talk about the divorce yet, but that she’s staying “positive.”
How Porsha Is Staying ‘Positive’
A source tells HollywoodLife.com: “She seems fine at the moment. I think she is just dealing with things privately, and isn’t ready to discuss publicly yet. However, considering the circumstance, she is staying strong and positive.”
Porsha Blindsided By Husband Kordell Filing For Divorce
We told you that the former Pittsburgh Steeler star filed divorce papers on March 22 and that Porsha didn’t know it was happening!
“She was 100 percent completely blindsided,” a friend said. “Friends are trying to contact her but she’s not picking up her phone or returning texts. Her whole identity is about being a happy, obedient wife. The other women criticized her for not having a backbone but she was like, ‘A real marriage is about honoring your man, your king.’ She is really upset.”
Porsha released a statement once news of the divorce broke in the press:
“Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband’s recent filing for divorce. Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her. Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith.”
Just one week before the announcement of her divorce, Porsha sat down with HollywoodLife.com and told us that they were a “team” and still wanted to start a family.
This is just so sad and we wish Porsha all the best.
