Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar want to take their family on an educational and cultural vacation, so the entire brood travels all the way to Japan! But with a language barrier and foreign food, the Duggars have a tough time adjusting. Watch the hilarious preview clip!
It’s a long way from Arkansas to Asia, but the entire Duggar family makes the epic trek across the globe — and chronicle their journey in all new episodes of 19 & Counting on TLC! The Duggars Do Asia special premieres on March 12, and in the first installment, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar struggle to even communicate enough to get around town!
Jim Bob has to constantly ask people if they speak English, to which he receives a lot of “nos” and heads shaking in confusion. The poor guy also has to keep track of his 19 (!) kids, and make sure they understand enough in this foreign country to not get hit by oncoming traffic. It’s a close call, but the family manages to make it around in one piece
But when it comes to sampling the local cuisine, all bets seem to be off. In true annoying American fashion, the family is vocally and visibly grossed out by any and all food they encounter, especially the squid, scorpion and raw fish. They even looked confused and grossed out by sushi (even though I’m sure sushi has made its way past the Bible belt).
Josh & Anna Duggar Expecting Another Baby — Congrats
On March 11, Josh and Anna Duggar announced they were adding more kids to the Duggar clan — Anna is pregnant again! Jim Bob and Michelle are thrilled to welcome another grandchild into the mix, and we’re sure the family will love having another travel partner down the road!
Watch the preview clip below, and be sure to tune in to TLC on March 12 ad 9/8 p.m. Central for the episode!
