It was revealed on Jan. 31 that Dan Marino paid his mistress Donna Savattere millions to keep quiet the fact that she had his love child in 2005. Her child Chloe, now 7, was received warmly by her now husband Nahil Younis and participated in their 2009 wedding.
According to The Hamptons edition of Real Weddings, Nahil proposed to Donna after only a month of dating. He then searched high and low for the perfect diamond and proposed again — lucky!
Since Donna was already a mother at the time she met Nahil, he was quick to play the role of Dad. Before their wedding, Nahil and Donna had another child of their own.
Incorporating their two children into the wedding and celebration was important for their family. “We have a home in the Hamptons and two children, so having a wedding ‘at home’ seemed like a simple way for us to have the wedding of our dreams without having to travel too far with our little ones,” Donna told the magazine.
The wedding was held at Wolffer Estate Vineyard on eastern Long Island, New York.
They chose orange and green as their main wedding colors, because they are not traditional. “Nothing in our lives together is traditional or about ‘following the rules,'” Donna adds.
Awkwardly, their wedding colors of orange and green are also the colors for the Miami Dolphins football team, which Dan Marino played for from 1983 to 1999.
Do you think the wedding colors were a coincidence or on purpose, HollywoodLifers?
