Dakota Fanning On Beauty
Though the child star is attending college at NYU and is taking on more grown up film roles, Dakota is definitely hanging on to a youthful look for her Glamour cover. Her bright red, cropped Mickey Mouse sweater may look like a juvenile pick, but it’s a cheeky Marc Jacobs piece. Red lacquered lipstick plays up her sparkling red ensemble, while fringe-y babydoll eyelashes emphasize Dakota’s doe-eyed gaze.
Dakota’s shoulder length springy curls are also a new look for her, and we’re loving this voluminous style! Her sassy ‘do is quite a departure from her signature stick straight strands.
In her interview, Dakota even addresses her thoughts on her 2011 Marc Jacobs fragrance ad, which was banned across the UK when concerns came up that it was inappropriately sexually provocative. Glamour asked if she was surprised when she learned about the controversy, to which Dakota answered, “Yeah, I was! If you want to read something into a perfume bottle, then I guess you can. But it’s also like, Why are you making it about that, you creep? I love Marc and trust him, and we just laughed about it.”
