LeAnn Rimes’s Johnny Cash-Inspired Bouffant: Love Or Loathe? Vote

The singer may credit Johnny Cash as one of her musical inspirations, but is she turning to the country legend as one of her style icons as well? LeAnn sported a gravity-defying ‘do on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on January 22. What do YOU think of her daring style?

Celebs like Janelle Monae and Zayn Malik have made their signature quiffs a funky modern trend, and now we can add LeAnn Rimes, 30, to the list of musicians giving this iconic style a go. Do you think her Cash-inspired hairstyle paid off? Let us know if you LOVE or LOATHE her latest style, below!

While this retro 1950s look would look totally edgy and chic on some rock stars or starlets, it takes some serious getting used to seeing LeAnn all done up in a voluminous bouffant! The pop/country singer is known for softer, more romantic styles like her signature loose, flowing waves or textured updos. This hair-raising trend is certainly a statement piece!

We love that LeAnn is branching out and trying edgier looks, but this particular style is a little too severe for her face. The pouf/faux hawk hybrid is also a little confusing: the retro look would be so much more flattering if it weren’t a cotton candy wisp making a geometrical triangle atop her head.

An easy fix to this inspired ‘do would be a less constructed style. A little teasing at the crown would go a long way to adding some funky flair to her look, without the harsh gel and hairspray. Check out these celebs who got the retro-inspired style right!

HollywoodLifers, do you LOVE or LOATHE LeAnn’s bouffant?
