Lea Michele’s Sexy Undone Braid: Get The Look

Lea Michele Hair

The ‘Glee’ star looked so pretty with her tresses tucked into a piece-y side braid for the 2013 Winter TCA FOX All-Star Party at The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa on January 8, 2013 in Pasadena, California–here’s how you can copy the look!

Lea Michele, 26, has been rocking the blunt bang look better than anyone lately, but for this recent event, the star swept her fringe off her face and wore the rest of her hair in an effortless braid. The braid trend is still super hot, but this look is particularly amazing, since Lea’s braid is loose and a bit messy, which looks edgy rather than sweet.

How to rock a braid like Lea’s

If you love Lea’s braid, it’s an easy look to recreate. The nice thing about it is, the more undone it looks, the better, so you can literally roll out of bed and create it without having to wash your hair. In order for the style to stay put, build a sturdy foundation and add texture with a product like L’Oréal Paris Studio Line Out of Bed Texturizer➚. This weightless hair texturizer gives you a messy, piece-y style with texture and control. The creamy-gel base incorporates lightweight holding. Work a small amount through dry or damp hair.

Sweep strands over to one side and braid, fastening ends with an elastic. Once you’re done, go back through the braid and loosen, for the same edgy, piece-y look as Lea’s. While Lea looks amazing with her signature blunt bands, this style really shows off her exotic face. If you have blunt bangs, you can pull them away from your face with a bit of hair spray and some strategically placed bobbi pins. The idea is to keep the pins discreet and pull longer hair over the top so you can’t see where they’ve been pinned.
