Halle Berry’s ex will not be prosecuted for any charges stemming from the Thanksgiving fight he allegedly started with Olivier Martinez — but he has to stay out of trouble for a year. Read on for more details.
Gabriel Aubry is in the clear after an office hearing on Jan. 3 determined Halle Berry‘s ex will not be prosecuted for the fight on Thanksgiving with Halle’s fiance Oliver Martinez that left him black and blue.
TMZ is reporting that the L.A. City Attorney held two office hearings — one that Halle and Olivier attended, and one a different day that Gabriel attended — and the case was eventually resolved. Even though Gabriel isn’t facing any charges, he must stay out of legal trouble for a year.
Gabriel was reportedly facing anger management classes as a possible way to deter criminal prosecution, but TMZ is reporting that the City Attorney can neither confirm nor deny the specifics.
The Day Of The Explosive Fight
On Nov. 22, the brawl allegedly occurred outside of Halle’s home after Gabriel dropped off he and Halle’s 4-year-old daughter Nahla. Olivier allegedly told Gabriel that they needed to “talk,” and Halle’s ex allegedly retaliated by shoving the French actor.
He also allegedly swung for Olivier’s face, but missed and hit his shoulder instead — and Olivier fought back “in self defense” with three quick punches to Gabriel’s face.
As photos from the incident emerged, it’s clear he was left with severe bruising and swelling — and was reportedly planning on filing a restraining order against Olivier, but dropped the order.
We’re so glad everything has been resolved , and we hope they can all keep the peace — especially for poor Nahla’s sake.
