The star kept it classic in a Christian Dior ensemble for the occasion — was it premiere perfect or a bit too plain? What did you think of her look last night?
Kirsten Dunst joined her co-star Kristen Stewart for the On The Road NYC premiere on Dec. 13, where her outfit couldn’t have been anymore different than that of Kristen’s! While Kristen wore something very revealing, Kristen covered up in a very classic style.
KStew opted for a super-sheer Erdem get-up bursting with color, but Kirsten stepped out in a Christian Dior Spring 2013 coat dress. The long-sleeved, navy ensemble had a single button. The star paired her demure ensemble with black fishnet tights, navy satin Dior sandals, (that were also styled with the look when it came down the runway), and silver statement earrings. Given the open, plunging neckline and the long sleeves, I think Kirsten’s earrings were the right choice — any other accessories could’ve made the classic get-up seem too cluttered.
A fuchsia lip and wavy tresses completed her red carpet look. While I’m a fan of the dress, I wish she styled her hair a bit differently — it just wasn’t my favorite. Kirsten often shows off interesting frocks, and I thought her choice last night was very appropriate for a blustery NY winter evening — even if it wasn’t one of her most exciting looks to date.
While KStew went for a vibrant ensemble, Kirsten played down her red carpet choice, wearing something more classic and chic. Our favorite former vampire clearly takes the prize for really stepping out of her comfort level and taking risks, but I’m not quite sure that her choice will be well received. What do you think? Which outfit do you prefer? Was Kirsten’s look premiere perfect or was it just too plain?
