After the explosive and incredibly violent fight on Nov. 22 that left Halle’s ex baby daddy Gabriel Aubry all bruised and bloody, a top family therapist is saying that this must stop now! Plus, read on to find out why Olivier Martinez needs to butt out of the entire thing!
Halle Berry needs to put her foot down and do it fast. HollywoodLife.com spoke to a top family therapist and associate professor of Osteopathic medicine at Turo College, Dr. Jeff Gardere about the sad situation and how Nahla, 4, is definitely being affected by this family turmoil.
Does Nahla even know what’s going on at such a young age?
“Absolutely she senses there is a strain in the family,” Dr. Gardere tells us. “She probably on some basic level may try to blame herself as children often do. She is probably experiencing sadness and anxiety. As far as the fight it must have been traumatic and it could affect her later in life, unless someone sits down with her and talks it through.”
We told you that Gabriel allegedly threw the first punch and it left both men hospitalized.
Why Olivier needs to butt out completely from Halle’s relationship with her ex!
“The most important thing is that Olivier needs to step back and remove himself from the situation emotionally, physically, and does not need to be present,” Dr. Gardere tells us. “This is something that is confusing enough for this child, something Halle and Gabe need to work out themselves. I think there needs to be some mediation between Gabe and Halle and what is best for the child.”
Gabriel should definitely continue to see Nahla even though he’s all bruised and banged up!
“He should definitely see her,” Dr. Gardere tells us. “Just wear sunglasses! She probaly wants to know he’s okay. More than anything Halle needs to not fan the fire and let Nahla know that daddy is getting better, he was hurt and he will be seeing her soon.”
Dr. Gardere adds that it’s tough for everyone involved and that Halle needs to step in and make some changes.
“Everyone needs to take a step back and look at the mental health needs of the child,” he says. “No good can come of it until everyone calms down. Olivier may be very well meaning in saying we need to move on but he needs to withdraw and concentrate on his relationship with Halle and not engage or interact with Gabe.”
