Must Watch Alert! The 2012 Britannia Awards Will Air On BBC America On November 11

BAFTA celebrated The Britannia Awards presented by BBC AMERICA November 7, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was a tremendous event that you all will be able to witness when its broadcasted on BBC AMERICA, November 11, 2012 at 8pm ET. You can’t miss it!

The Britannia Awards are BAFTA Los Angeles’ highest accolade, a celebration of achievements honoring individuals and companies that have dedicated their careers to advancing the entertainment arts. For the first time ever, The Britannia Awards will be broadcast on BBC AMERICA, November 11, 2012 at 8pm ET as a two-hour special, preceded by The Britannia Awards Red Carpet Special at 7:30pm ET. Stars the likes of host Alan Cumming, Daniel Day Lewis, Steven Spielberg, Daniel Craig and so much more came out for this amazing event!

The star-studded gala, hosted by Alan Cumming, honored multi-Academy and BAFTA Award-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis who received the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film presented to him by Steven Spielberg, acclaimed actor Daniel Craig who received the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year presented to him by Harrison Ford, Academy and BAFTA Award-winning director Quentin Tarantino who received the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing presented to him by Roger Corman, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Emmy Award-winning co-creators of South Park and Tony Award-winning co-creators of The Book of Mormon who received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy presented to them by Josh Gad, and video game designer Will Wright who received the Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment presented to him by Olivia Munn.

The evening’s gala dinner also included a special performance by “American Idol’s” Jessica Sanchez.

Proceeds from the gala ceremony support BAFTA Los Angeles’ on-going education, scholarship, community outreach and archival projects.
