Jessica took to Twitter to announce that Weight Watchers has NOT been pressuring her to lose weight to fulfill her mega-million deal but that she’s doing it for health reasons.
All eyes have been on Jessica Simpson since she gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1. Although the singer and host of Fashion Star has publicly struggled with her weight for years, she insists that dropping the post-pregnancy pounds is a choice she is doing for her health — not pressure from her multi-million dollar Weight Watchers deal.
“Just so everyone knows…Weight Watchers hasn’t put ANY pressure on me!” Jessica tweeted. “I’m trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!”
Jessica said she indulged in some of her favorite comfort foods during her pregnancy, including fried chicken, mac and cheese, and buttered pop tarts. However, it seems the new mom is on a healthier path, trading in junk food for healthier options and exercise. Only time will tell if she drops the excess weight in time for her Weight Watchers campaign loss.
HollyMoms, do YOU think Jessica is feeling the heat from Weight Watchers, or is she doing this all her own?
