News broke on March 2 that the Dallas Mavericks management wanted Lamar to play for their Development League, the Texas Legends. But now they need him back!
Boy, that was quick! After being sent down to Dallas’s D-League, the Mavs decide they need Lamar Odom back! Just two days after the demotion, the team recalled him to play in their March 3 game against the Utah Jazz.
Khloe Kardashian Odom‘s hubby has had some family issues lately, missing ten games to be with his sick father. His basketball management claimed Lamar was out of shape and suffering from poor form due to his long absence, so they bumped him down to their D-League for some b-ball rehab.
Lamar has had it rough these past few weeks, dealing with his father’s illness and the backlash for missing games, but in his first game back with the Mavericks, he scored nine points in 18 minutes, had five rebounds, and blocked three shots! And Khloe was there cheering. So that’ll shut up the haters saying Lamar’s involvement with the Kardashian Klan is bringing his game down. Khloe is nothing but supportive of his career, even relocating immediately when she found out he had been traded by the LA Lakers.
After the Mavericks lost to the New Orleans Hornets and their losing streak went up to four, they knew they had to bring Lamar back on the court.
His teammates aren’t as willing to welcome him back just yet, though. Jason Kidd claims, “Trust factor is always big. For that, he’s going to have to earn it with a lot of the guys.”
Don’t worry about Khloe’s man, though, says Jason. “We all give second chances, third chances. For that, we just want him to be him and be comfortable and play,” he says.
Do YOU think Lamar is happy to be back, HollywoodLifers?
