'Vampire Diaries' Shocker: The Love Triangle Between Damon, Stefan & Elena Will Come To A Head Before The Season Ends

The Vampire Diaries is one of the wildest shows on TV, and the action is driven by the steamy love triangle between Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. But one executive producer says to expect the unexpected this season in the quest for Elena’s heart!

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Julie Plec says the love triangle will soon come to a head.

“[Damon and Elena] have got some tension that they’ve got to work through as we get deeper into the season,” she says. “Elena is ultimately in the position of asking herself, ‘How do I feel about each of these brothers, and who do I want to be with?'”
