WWE Superstar John Cena To Start 2012 Daytona 500 In Miami

WWE Superstar John Cena will embark on waving the iconic green flag as Honorary Starter of the 54th annual Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Feb. 26 at historic Daytona International Speedway! An honor bestowed to such stars as Whoopi Goldberg, Ashton Kutcher and Mariah Carey to name a few!

WWE Superstar John Cena will wave the green flag as Honorary Starter of the 54th annual Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Feb. 26 at historic Daytona International Speedway (FOX, 1 p.m. ET). The WWE Superstar was invited personally by Nascar star Carl Edwards during the Feb. 6th edition of WWE’s Monday Night Raw®. This will give yet another illustrious achievement in his amazing career inside and out of the squared circle.

The avid NASCAR fan will add to his career achievements by headlining WrestleMania against The Rock® at Sun Life Stadium in Miami on Sunday, April 1, 2012. Cena, has had a long standing relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is on pace to grant his 300th wish, making him the first celebrity wish granter ever to reach that lofty goal. The Make-A-Wish Foundation recently dedicated a room to WWE at the foundation’s headquarters in Phoenix, AZ, in honor of Cena’s unwavering dedication to children with life-threatening medical conditions. John Cena is a class act all the way and we are proud of all his good fortune and how he gives back!
