In an apparent murder-suicide, Josh killed himself and his two young sons — Was it because the boys were beginning to talk about the night their mom disappeared?
Police say On Feb. 5, Josh Powell, the lead suspect in the 2009 disappearance of his wife Susan, killed his two young sons and himself by setting his house on fire. But now the lawyer for Susan’s family says young Braden, 5, and Charles, 7, had recently begun revealing details about the horrible night their mom disappeared, according to CBS news.
“They were beginning to verbalize more,” says attorney Steve Downing. “The oldest boy talked about that they went camping and that Mommy was in the trunk. Mom and Dad got out of the car and Mom disappeared.”
The 28-year-old mom went missing on Dec. 7, 2009, and Josh claims he was camping with his two boys in the hours before she vanished.
The only person of interest in the case, he also lost custody of his sons to Susan’s parents. On Feb. 5, a social worker brought the boys over for a supervised visit. He pushed her away, locked the boys inside and soon after the house exploded.
Such a sad story! Do you think Josh killed his sons because they were revealing information?
