The countdown (to the countdown) has officially begun!

Say it with me, folks: Jack. Is. Back. Kiefer Sutherland gave reporters the scoop about the long-awaited 24 movie this weekend during the Television Critics Association winter tour, and he even answered one of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind — when is he going to film this thing?!

Though Kiefer’s schedule is pretty full these days, thanks to his starring role on the upcoming FOX drama Touch, Kiefer told reporters that the team hopes for the movie to begin filming “at the end of April, beginning of May.” He also told reporters that the movie will take place “maybe six months” from the end of the series finale.

TVLine confirms that the movie will take place over a 24-hour period, but obviously that doesn’t mean the movie itself will be 24 hours long.

(Can you imagine?)
