Next year’s Palm Springs International Film Festival is just around the corner and it’s going to be more star-studded than ever!

With honorees such as Brad Pitt and George Clooney, we’re more excited than ever for the 2012 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala Jan. 7. Although the committee hasn’t announced a complete list of A-listers receiving awards at the glamourous event, which is presented by Cartier, we know quite a few.

First of all, Brad will be honored with the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award for his leading role in Moneyball and his supporting part in The Tree of Life. His buddy, Mr. Clooney, will also be awarded the prestigious Chairman’s Award for The Descendants and The Ides of March.

Meanwhile, the cast of the comedy Young Adult will be receiving the Vanguard Award recognizing its outstanding creative ensemble. Cast members from the film including Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt, director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody will attend to accept the award.

Other honorees include Gary Oldman, who will receive the International Star Award; Glenn Close, who will be given the Career Achievement Award; acclaimed French filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist), who will receive the Sonny Bono Visionary Award; Michelle Williams, who will win the Desert Palm Achievement Actress Award; and Octavia Spencer, who will be honored with the Breakthrough Performance Award.

The 23rd annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, which runs Jan. 5-16, is presented by Title Sponsor, the City of Palm Springs. Renewing and new sponsors, to date, of this year’s Festival include The Desert Sun, Spencer’s Restaurant and KPSP Local 2. Major sponsors include Bank of America, Penfolds, Wells Fargo, Regal Entertainment, Panavision, Chihuly Art Glass, Integrated Wealth Management, Ocean Properties Development, ASI and White-Spark Creative. The Festival’s
