Starting today, Monday, Nov. 14, former first daughter Chelsea Clinton will be on the NBC payroll as the station’s newest correspondent.

NBC hired Chelsea Clinton to work on stories that the network expects to use for their “Making a Difference” series for NBC Nightly News.

“I hope telling stories through ‘Making a Difference’ — as in my academic work and nonprofit work — will help me to live my grandmother’s adage of ‘Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you,'” Chelsea said in a statement.

Chelsea is the second daughter of a former president to work for NBC News. Jenna Bush – daughter of George W. — is a correspondent for The Today Show, too!

Political daughters are conquering the news! I guess Bristol Palin might be a correspondent for GMA on ABC.

haha… well, i honestly would not want to hurt bristol’s feelings, but comparing chelsea clinton to bristol palin is really laughable (and insulting to chelsea). chelsea graduated with honors from stanford, and then went on to get her masters from oxford. not quite the same as bristol who is a decade her junior and did not attend college (i don’t believe).
