Chuck reveals he’s not over Blair, Serena loses her job and Nate and Charlie kiss on the Nov. 7 episode of ‘Gossip Girl!’
Even though it looks like Louis (Hugo Becker) really is the father of Blair’s baby (which is a total bummer!), it’s safe to say Chuck (Ed Westwisk) and Blair’s romance can — AND WILL — be saved.
The GG writers have been taunting us with no Chuck & Blair drama since the beginning of the season, but tonight proved that’s about to change. After Chuck had an epiphany that he’s been in a depression because he lost Blair (Leighton Meester), he decided to do something about it. In one of the most heart-wrenching scenes in GG history, Chuck showed up unexpectedly at Blair’s house after revealing Prince Louis was bribing Chuck’s therapist — Dr. Barnes — with Blair’s paternity test at the NY Spectator party.
Chuck didn’t visit Blair’s to apologize about causing friction between her and her fiance and embarrassing her at the party, but he came to apologize for hurting her in the past. “I’m sorry for losing my temper the night Louis proposed. I’m sorry for treating you like property. I’m sorry for not waiting longer at the Empire State building,” Chuck said to Blair. But the best apology of all was the last: “I’m sorry that I gave up on us and you never did.” Aww!
Well, thank goodness Prince Louis is out of town for the next few days because Blair now has time to take it all in.
Will she have a change of heart and not go through with the wedding? I hope so! I’m thinking we’ll be saying au revoir to Prince Louis very, very soon.
More ‘OMG’ Moments:
1. Prince Louis tells Blair he found the paternity test!
This scene did not pan out as I had hoped, which would have been a final Blair and Louis separation. Blair, in fact, apologized and reinforced her feelings for Louis — gross. This, however, was all before Chuck’s apology.
2. Serena plays Dan once again and becomes a blogger!
Come on, Serena (Blake Lively)! Get your priorities straight! Last episode you confessed your love to Dan (Penn Badgley), yet you’re still trying to use him to get ahead in your job.
I’m not sure what she’s doing here, but I hope she figures it out soon. Also, I’m not sure how much I approve of the UES princess blogging for NY Spectator — Gossip Girl’s competitor. It doesn’t sound like a good idea to me.
3. Charlie & Nate Kiss!
Of course done with ulterior motives on both sides, the two shared a cute smooch. Charlie, aka Ivy (Kaylee Defer) was trying to win Blair’s bridesmaid competition and Nate (Chace Crawford) was trying to make Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) jealous.
4. Diana goes public with her relationship with Nate!
Super awkward — Diana posts on her own gossip website details about her relationship with Nate. All I can say is I can’t wait until we find out Diana’s motives and then when she is exiled from the UES.
