Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Russell Armstrong‘s Aug. 15 suicide shocked America, and now the new season of the show featuring his interaction with estranged wife Taylor is in limbo.
Producers of the show met with the Housewives cast at Adrienne Maloof‘s mansion on Aug. 17, in order to process their grief and figure out a next step with a ‘crisis’ meeting, RadarOnline.com reports. After all, the show is set to begin airing in just a month!
“It was a somber meeting,” an eyewitness says. “Everyone in the room was still in mourning and simply shocked by Russell’s death. The people at Bravo just want to do the appropriate thing. Their first priority is being respectful to Russell, Taylor and their families.”
Bravo executive Andy Cohen also took to his blog on Aug. 17 to write, “We’re all still trying to process [Tuesday’s] very sad news, and looking at how to proceed with the series, which has finished primary production and was set to premiere on Labor Day. We’ll let you know what we decide when we do. In the meantime, we’re sending our thoughts and prayers to Taylor and the rest of Russell’s family.”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers — should the new season be cancelled, postponed or be shown as planned?
