Rob Pattinson must be so sad! He really wanted to play Jeff Buckley and now he’s lost his chance. Poor Rob!

Robert Pattinson has not made it a secret that he longs to play famous musician Jeff Buckley on the big screen. Unfortunately for Rob, Penn Badgley scored the role in the movie Greetings from Tim Buckley and now actor Reeve Carney has secured the lead in the biopic film about Jeff.

Mary Guibert, Jeff’s mother and executive producer for the film said, “We are over the moon that Reeve has agreed to take on this challenging role. He’s been getting ready for this all his life. It certainly doesn’t hurt that he looks so much like Jeff.”

The movie’s director, Jake Scott, is also thrilled. “We are excited to have found in Reeve the perfect combination of musical prodigy, impish charm, innate intelligence and sensitivity to play Jeff.”

Reeve is relatively unknown in Hollywood, although he was cast as the lead in the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

Are you sad for Rob that he missed out on two opportunities to play Jeff Buckley? Or do you think he’s over it at this point?
