Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin duked it out as both accused one another of having problems with alcohol, and Alex McCord made up for being left out by fighting with everyone — over nothing!
The Real Housewives of New York were back for their final appearance of the season with the second part of the reunion special and oh how childish those women proved themselves to be! Accusing one another of everything from extramarital affairs to problem with alcohol, it seems no topic was off the table!
Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps started off the drama, rehashing the fact that Ramona was unwilling to do LuAnn’s video because her daughter didn’t agree with her mother participating. LuAnn, who is kind of amazing at delicately telling people they are idiots, pointed out that Ramona massaged her husband’s body on national TV but was unwilling to awkwardly dance in Atlantic City for her video? Well played LuAnn.
Talk then shifted to Ramona’s drinking problem, which she denied. Ramona then stated she could not be an alcoholic as she only drank wine. Huh? She further dug herself in a hole by saying Jill Zarin had attended AA. Of all the things the ladies have done, and there have been some horrible things, outing someone for attending an anonymous alcohol treatment program may be the most abhorable. Calling Jill’s daughter’s birth mark a deformity, Ramona again, runs a close second.
Alex McCord was feeling left out evidently so she just kept screaming at everyone, looking like a blonde Natasha from Rocky & Bullwinkle. She got hers however when the girls all put her to task for her husband telling Jill she had better “Watch out.” Rightfully so.
Kelly Bensimon, the voice of reason for the night, actually did a great job of calling the other ladies out for their idiotic behavior. Way to go Kel. Sonja Morgan meanwhile seemed to drift in and out of conversation and consciouness, never really offering much insight to the conversation.
Finally, my favorite, Cindy Barshop. The most successful of the ladies seemed to be completely over the entire thing. Every time the camera panned to her I feared she would be swallowing massive amounts of pills or doing anything to remove herself from the situation. Safe to say, I do not think we will be seeing Cindy next season.
So HollywoodLifers, who do you think came off the best on the reunion show?
