'RHONY' Preview: Natalie Cole Promises To Sing With Countess LuAnn At LuAnn's Party!
LuAnn freaks out during the season finale when she finds out that NATALIE COLE has heard her music — and will be singing at her party!
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is back in the music studio again during the season finale of The Real Housewives of New York City. And LuAnn’s surprised to meet multi-Grammy Award winner Natalie Cole. But what’s even more shocking is that Natalie promises to stop by LuAnn’s anniversary party and sing a song … as long as LuAnn will join her in the serenade!
“You haven’t heard ‘Money Can’t Buy You Class,’ have you?,'” LuAnn asks Natalie half joking.
LuAnn cracks up laughing when Natalie replies: “Of course I have!”
“It’s hysterical,” continues Natalie. “Very funny and it’s true. What would we do without music?”
“We had so much fun with the lyrics to that,” gushes LuAnn.
LuAnn’s stunned by Natalie and has to take a second to take everything in. “I couldn’t believe how kind and lovely and amazing Natalie Cole was,” LuAnn tells the cameras. “First of all, so gracious and so open and so friendly.”
As the interaction’s going great, LuAnn decides to invite Natalie to a party she’s planning. “I’m actually having an anniversary party for my boyfriend, Jacques [Azoulay] and myself,” says LuAnn. “A one year anniversary, but if you’re in town and you’re free, I would love for you to come. He’s a fabulous guy.”
Natalie surprises LuAnn with her response. “If I came, I might be able to sing a song,” smiles Natalie. She looks directly at LuAnn: “But you have to sing with me!”
LuAnn’s totally floored at this. “When she said she would sing, I about died,” she confesses. “I couldn’t believe it. I was blown away. Oh my god, I was like somebody pinch me!”
“Oh darling, I have to practice!” LuAnn admits.
But Natalie has a better plan: “Oh definitely, WE have to practice!”
