From double dates to gym sessions, HollywoodLife.com has all the exclusive details of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ trip back to his home in Minnesota for 4th of July weekend!
On July 1, Kris Humphries tweeted: “How do I convince Kim Kardashian that Minnesota is better than L.A.?” Well, he had four days to prove it and by the looks and (tweets of it) — the basketball pro did a pretty good job. And HollywoodLife.com has all the exclusive details!
“The last time Kim visited Minnesota with Kris was in late April when she celebrated Easter with his family. It was freezing, so this time she got to experience a sunny, beautiful Minnesota,” local resident Sarie,18, tells HollywoodLife.com.
In fact, Sari’s best friend lives next door to Kris’ parents, where she revealed he stays whenever he is in town.
“Kim and Kris stayed with his parents over the Fourth of July weekend. They live right on Lake Minnewaska. It’s right next to Lake Minnetonka, where Kim and Kris celebrated The Fourth of July. Everyone goes to the Big Island, which is like a cove in the middle of Lake Minnetonka. It’s like a Fourth of July tradition. People tie their boats up together and go boat hoping! It’s like one big party. Then at night, they had a spectacular fireworks display.”
Sunday night, Kim and Kris went had dinner at Hazellewood Grill and Tap Room in Tonka Bay.
“They came with another couple,” another local resident tells HollywoodLife.com. “They were on a double date and seemed to be having a really fun time. Earlier in the day Kim and Kris went to Lifetime, which is a posh athletic center. While Kris played basketball with his buddies, Kim was upstairs on the elliptical. Last time she was at Lifetime was over Easter weekend. She taught some morning cycling classes. It was so bizarre because you would think she would want her privacy, and here she was teaching a class while Kris was playing basketball.”
On Saturday night, Kris showed Kim the downtown area of Minneapolis. “They first went to Fusion for dinner and then went to Crave and Seven for drinks,” our insider dished. “These are really exclusive, upscale spots. He obviously wants nothing but the best for Kim. Plus he wanted to impress her and show off his favorite places.”
After dinner at Fusion, Kim and Kris headed over to Seven, which is a steak and sushi restaurant, and ultra lounge and skybar. The skybar is on the rooftop and Kris rented it out for a party. “He invited 100 guests,” another source tells us. Guess he really wanted to impress Kimmy!
On Saturday night, Kris even tweeted about his night: “Had the best dinner at Fusion in uptown.” Later that same night he tweeted: “Pulling up to Seven!”
During the day, Kim and Kris went to a baseball game where Kris threw the opening pitch! Kris tweeted about this too.
We love hearing about how Kim wasn’t a diva and didn’t feel the need to stay at some fancy hotel. She obviously feels comfortable enough to stay with Kris’ family…who will soon be her in-laws!
