Jessica Simpson reportedly put a ‘strict no-cheating clause’ in her prenup, and I think that is a very smart idea!
Jessica Simpson is one of my favorite celebrities, and with the luck she’s had in her love life, I’d hate to see her get hurt again. That’s why I was pleased to hear she, according to InTouch, reportedly put a specific no-cheating clause in her prenup with fiance Eric Johnson. Good for you Jessica!
Unfortunately, infidelity is (often) a fact of life. And when you add Hollywood into the mix, it seems to be even more of a problem! I think I’ve made it clear how I feel about fidelity-challenged men like Jesse James, Tiger Woods and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jessica’s man is also an athlete, which although it may be stereotyping, doesn’t really help matters.
“Jessica’s biggest fear is that Eric will stray, so she insisted on that specific clause in her prenup,” a friend of the singer’s tells InTouch. “She’s being fair with Eric in case things don’t work out, but he won’t get anything if he cheats.”
I want the best for Jessica and Eric, and am by no ways claiming he has a wandering eye. But it’s safe and smart to protect yourself, especially when you have as much to lose as Jessica does.
Do you agree? Do you think it’s smart to put a no-cheating clause in a prenup or do you think it should be assumed when you take your vows? Sound off below!
